A rescue team from SeaWorld rescued a rare Melon Head Whale that was beached on Playalinda Beach near NASA. Crews used a large sling, wet towels and spray bottles to move the 900-pound whale off the beach.
Scientists say Melon Heads rarely beach themselves because they stay at least 30 miles off the coast.
Veterinarian staff from SeaWorld examined and treated the whale before transporting it to Gulf World.
