Immense Mold & Bacteria Clean-Up - Expedited Disaster Relief is Now Available for The Midwest Floods
In light of the immense devastation in the Midwest there is some good news. Pure Air Control Services is offering disaster recovery assistance through its federal General Services Administration (GSA) contract (#GS 10-F-0488R) to assist city, county, state and federal governments (including schools) by identifying baseline mold/IAQ conditions and providing specific, definitive remedial recommendations.
Alan Wozniak, President and CEO of Pure Air Control Services said “Normally, our federal contracts are limited to federal agencies. However, since President Bush has declared the Midwest a disaster area, Pure Air’s federal contract can be used by other governments, such as state, county, local, municipality and schools, as federal aid is available to such entities.”
The General Services Administration has modified the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) for Pure Air Control Services GS-10F-0488R (SIN 899-1RP,2RP, & 8RP) to provide a contracting vehicle for state and local governments of federally declared disaster areas with the procurement of emergency indoor environmental services that would include but not limited to: building assessments, mold remediation, restoration services, dehumidification, and HVAC system cleaning, etc....
Section 833 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, authorizes the Administrator of General Services Administration to provide for the use by state or local government of Federal Supply Schedules for goods or services that are to be used to facilitate recovery from a major disaster declared by the President under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, or to facilitate recovery from terrorism, or nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological attack.
Wozniak also shared “During the recent post-hurricane cleanup, our firm conducted thousands of diagnostic building health checks and remediation projects including federal courthouses, US Coast Guard facilities, and public schools.”
With more than two decades of experience covering well over 500 million square feet of indoor environments, Pure Air Control Services interdisciplinary, award-winning indoor environmental consulting/remediation firm boasts a long-held reputation of pioneering the indoor air quality (IAQ) industry.
There are several options available to home and businesses in the afflicted region. You can conduct DIY screen testing to help determine if a professional should be called in. Indoorairtest.com is a good resource for economical mold screen test kits among others. Make sure the screen test analysis is conducted by a professional, accredited AIHA microbiology laboratory. Another economical option is Building Health Check performed by the trained environmental staff of Pure Air Control Services and or affiliates.
