Janet Jackson to Perform Live at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan September 27

Janet Jackson will be performing live at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hils, Michigan on Saturday, September 27 at 7:30 pm.  She will perform next at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer and actress, Janet Damita Jo Jackson was born the youngest of the Jackson family in Gary, Indiana.  Starting her career at the age of 7 with her family, Jackson’s acting career started with the variety television show, The Jacksons.  She then went onto perform in Good Times, A New Kind of Family, Diffrent Strokes and Fame.

Jackson launched her recording career in 1982 with the release of her self titled debut album, which was later followed by Dream Street two years later.  After experiencing some recognition for her first album, the collaboration of record producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis brought Jackson record breaking success with the release of Control (1986), Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989), janet (1993), The Velvet Rope (1997) and All for You (2001), all of which were number one studio albums on the Billboard 200.
