Neil Entwistle Given Guilty Verdict on All Counts During Murder Trial

Neil Entwistle was sentenced to life in prison as the jury in his murder trial rendered a guilty verdict on all charges on Wednesday.

Entwisle, 29, will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole after a Massachusetts jury found him guilty of first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife and nine-month old daughter.

The jury took just a day and a half to reach their verdict after listening to trial testimony for the past several months.

Entwistle was found guilty of shooting his wife Rachel, 27, and daughter Lillian Rose at their home in 2006.

Entwistle claimed that Rachel shot their daughter and then committed suicide. However, prosecutors argued that he killed his wife and daughter, because he was ridden with debt and unsatisfied with his sex life. Prosecutors said that Entwistle wanted to free himself from his family situation.

Sentencing is set for Thursday but under Massachusetts law, Entwistle must be sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.
