Six new search warrants suggest that murdered University of North Carolina student body president Eva Carson was forced from her home by her killers. The warrants show Carson was at her home studying when two men entered the house and forced her into her vehicle. She was forced to drive to an ATM where she withdrew $1,400 before she was shot to death.
Investigators initially believed Carson was the victim of a carjacking in Chapel Hill. Laurence Lovette, 17, and Demario Atwater, 22, were arrested in the murder. Both are charged with first-degree murder.
Carson’s body was found March 5 in the middle of a residential road in Chapel Hill. She was shot multiple times. The autopsy report has not been released.
