Ruben Studdard Gets Married to Surata Zuri McCants in Wedding Saturday
Ruben Studdard, the famed R&B singer, and fiance' Surata Zuri McCants were married Saturday in a large wedding.
Studdard, 29, and McCants, 30, got their marriage license on Monday in Shelby County, Alabama at the Probate Office in Columbiana.

Studdard met McCants when he was signing CDs in an Atlanta Wal-Mart in October of 2006. Studdard saw her and then followed her to the toy department, where he asked her for her phone number.
Studdard won season 2 of "American Idol," defeating Clay Aiken in the finals. His first album "Soulful" (2003) sold 1.8 million copies and has released two albums since: "I Need An Angel" (2004) and "The Return" (2006).
Studdard is now working with super-producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for his upcoming album. He was released from his contract with J Records and has yet to sign another record deal.
