Najda Benaissa apologizes for infecting men she slept with

28 year old German singer Najda Benaissa apologizes publicly for having unprotected sex with several men without disclosing to them the fact that she has HIV.

She is being charged with grievous bodily harm for infecting a man she had sex with. She is also facing an attempted bodily harm charge for having sex with two other men but not telling them she had HIV. Benaissa is facing six months to 10 years in prison.

Benaissa was arrested last year in Frankfurt and was held in custody for 10 days. In November of last year, she declared openly that she was HIV positive. Authorities claim she had known she was HIV positive since 1999.
