US defense secretary Robert Gates says that the plan to pull troops out of Afghanistan is going right on schedule. Obama scheduled to start pulling out troops from Afghanistan in 2011.
Although troops are scheduled to be pulled out in December of 2011, Obama approved 30,000 more troops after he was elected President.
Pulling the troops out is seeming more plausible as the number of Afghani forces increases.
The war in Afghanistan is starting to lose the few supporters it had acquired, from the US and other countries as well.
About 2,000 foreign troops were killed since the invasion in 2001.
