Craigslist Killer Phillip Markoff Stabbed Himself in Neck

MSNBC reports Phillip Markoff, known as the ‘Craigslist Killer,’ used a pen to stab himself in major arteries in his neck and leg before putting a plastic bag over his head. Markoff, 24, was found dead in his cell at Nashua Street Jail on Sunday.

He was awaiting trial for the 2009 murder of Julissa Brisman, a masseuse he found on Craigslist, and the armed robbery of a Las Vegas woman in Boston. Markoff, who was a medical student at Boston University before his arrest, pleaded not guilty to both charges.
