Barack Obama and Bill Clinton Break the Ice with 20 Minute Phone Conversation

Likely Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton shared a 20-minute phone conversation on Monday, the first time they have spoken since Hillary Clinton suspended her bid for the Democratic nomination.

Clinton was an active participant in his wife’s presidential campaign and on several occasions voiced criticism for her chief rival. Despite the criticisms heaved upon the Illinois senator Clinton is reportedly ready to campaign for Obama.

Monday’s conversation was described as “terrific” by an Obama spokesman but the subject matter of the conversation was not released.

Obama will be facing Republican John McCain in the general election in November.
