Joy Gendusa, Founder & CEO of PostcardMania, was recently profiled in the Gulf Coast Business Review. The weekly newspaper provides business news and resources on the area’s companies, trends, entrepreneurs and CEOs. The article, titled “Entrepreneurs to Watch,” profiled Gendusa and how she got into the printing industry.
Gendusa started PostcardMania in June of 1998 after an upset with a New York postcard supplier for charging to remove its toll-free telephone number from a postcard she was buying to promote her then-small marketing agency. By 2005, PostcardMania landed on Inc. magazine’s 2005 list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in America, having grown revenue 290% over a three-year period. Its annual revenues have now topped $18 million and it has over 150 employees… and Gendusa is building a new corporate headquarters in Clearwater to house her continued expansion.
And Gendusa did all of this without an MBA or taking capital investment of any kind.
The story of her success was recorded in a one-hour interview, exclusively for aspiring entrepreneurs to help them grow their own businesses and can be heard at http://www.postcardmania.com/marketing-articles/marketing-audio/interviews/
