17 Children Dead in School Roof Collapse in India

The roof a private school in northern India collapsed Wednesday, killing at least 17 children. At least 6 children have been rescued from the debris. Rescue workers are still searching for others.

A government official blamed the tragedy on heavy rains, saying the rain caused rocks to fall on the roof.

The school is located in Uttarakhand state in the town of Kapkot.
