Narconon Drug Rehab Celebrates July 4th

“Freedom From Drug Addiction”

Narconon Drug Rehab in Georgia is celebrating July 4th by educating young people on the dangers of drug abuse. Assisting local July 4th celebrations in towns in and around the Atlanta area, Narconon Drug Rehab staff and students will be passing out literature promoting a drug-free and happy 4th of July.

“Our Fore-Fathers, over two hundred years ago, wanted a country devoted to freedom,” states Gordon Weinand, Public relations for Narconon Drug Rehab in Georgia. “They would have been appalled at how many Americans today are trapped by drug addiction. We mean to give these people the freedom to live a happy life, just as our Declaration of Independence states.”

Being free of drug addiction also means never becoming dependent on drugs in the first place. The most effective drug prevention program is education. At the Narconon Drug Rehab Tents across Atlanta, children will be given free Frisbees with drug prevention information.

“We gave out Frisbees last year for July 4th, and the kids love them,” states Mr. Weinand. “They learn about the dangers of drug abuse and have fun at the same time. We don’t believe in scaring kids away from drugs, but by giving them the correct information, we have seen that they will make their choices in the proper and rational manner.”

Recovering drug addicts at the Narconon Drug Rehab Program are encouraged to make a difference in their community by organizing activities that promote drug awareness. Many graduates, once having completed the Narconon Drug Rehab, will not only become drug free, but will also lecture to schools and PTA’s on their experiences to help others avoid the traps they once found themselves in. Others get friends and family members who are suffering from drug addiction to attend a Narconon Drug Rehab. They return and join a new group of drug-free, responsible friends. Thus the calm and happiness begins to spread where there was once nothing but suffering.

While it may appear that drug addiction is an incurable “disease”, there is a solution: The Narconon Drug Rehab Program.
