Indian Army Accuses Pakistan of Violating CeaseFire

Army officials in India have accused Pakistan of violating a cease-fire agreement. The Indian army claims Pakistani troops of firing small arms and heavy caliber weapons across the border in Poonch district of Jammu Kashmir.

Indian soldiers fired back. The gunfire lasted about 90 minutes.

The Pakistani army confirms gunfire was exchanged, but says it was the Indian troops who began firing first.

Authorities from both countries plan to meet to discuss the incident.
