Ashley Dupre, the former call-girl caught up in the scandal involving Eliot Spitzer, has reportedly dropped her lawsuit against “Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis.
Dupre had filed a $10 million lawsuit against Francis in which she stated she was only 17 when she was approached by producers of “Girls Gone Wild” in 2003 while in Miami. According to Dupre she was given alcohol before she signed a release agreeing to be involved in their videos.
Shortly after Dupre was revealed to be the call-girl involved with the former New York governor she was offered $1 million by Joe Francis to appear in a video and travel on a promotional bus. Francis took that offer off the table after it was discovered he already had footage of Dupre from five years earlier.
Dupre then sued Francis for exploiting her image and name on the Internet after he used the old footage to promote the sale of his videos.
