Pakistan Floods Leave Over 4 Million Homeless

The United Nations said estimated Thursday that floods in Pakistan have left more than 4 million people homeless. Monsoon rains began three weeks ago and left about a fifth of the country underwater.

About 900,000 are damaged and the death toll has risen to 1,500. Government officials now fear the lack of clean drinking water could lead to an outbreak of water borne illnesses such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery.
