Two Cars on China Passenger Train Fall into River

Two cars of a Chengdu Railway passenger train traveling in southwest China Thursday fell into a river after floods destroyed the Shi-ting-jiang Bridge.

It is unclear how many passengers were in the cars. Rescue teams were working to save the passengers. People onboard five other cars were saved.

The Shi-ting-jiang Bridge is located in Shaanxi Province and is part of a railway line that connects Chengdu and Baoji.
