Candice Houlihan Claims Affair with A-Rod, Supports Cynthia Rodriguez

Candice Houlihan, who had an affair with New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez, came out in support of A-Rod's wife Cynthia Rodriguez on Tuesday.

Houlihan said Tuesday that she backed A-Rod's wife Cynthia Rodriguez, who filed for divorce on Monday after five-and-a-half years of marriage. The divorce filing came just days after it was reported that A-Rod was having an affair with Madonna. It was also reported that days later, Cynthia went on a romantic vacation with Lenny Kravitz in Paris.

"A leopard doesn't change his spots," said Houlihan to the Boston Herald. "Good for her, I think she's doing the smart thing. And she'll probably get tons of cash."

A-Rod and the former Cynthia Scurtis were married in November 2002 and has two children, Natasha Alexander and Ella Alexander, who was born April 21.

Houlihan said she had sex with A-Rod twice in 2004 while Cynthia was pregnant with their first child.

Candace says she met A-Rod at a game in Fenway Park with her girlfriends. After giving the rival Yankees player a hard time during the game, he introduced himself to her and told her that he was going to Saint, a bar in Boston, later and asked her to meet him there.

Houlihan came to the bar where A-Rod appeared with a wedding ring on his finger, and after a few drinks, they went back to A-Rod's Ritz-Carlton hotel room and had sex.

"It was killing me and I felt bad afterwards," said Houlihan. "I’m not a bad person. I know how it feels to be cheated on, it sucks. But a couple of drinks later, I didn’t notice all that much, to tell you the truth."

The next day, Candace and her girlfriends searched Rodriguez on Google and she was shocked to find out that his wife was pregnant with their first child.

A-Rod called Houlihan back when he was in town for the American League Championship Series. "He said he had a big game the next day. I like to say I helped us win," she told the Boston Herald. "I reversed the curse!"

Candice, now a hairdresser in Reading, Mass., was a pole dancer for five years, but never told A-Rod she danced at Centerfolds.

A-Rod's philandering has been reported before. In 2007, he and stripper Joslyn Noel Morse were reportedly spotted in Toronto, Miami and Dallas. Pictures of Rodriguez and Morse, an aspiring Playboy model, were published in the New York Post, making national headlines. Morse and Houlihan are also both blondes.
