Eight new natural wonders have been added to the World Heritage List and include sites that are deemed “of outstanding value to humanity.”
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced the addition of eight new sites it considers deserving of protection and preservation.
The eight new natural wonders are:

● Surtsey in
● Saryarka – Steppe and Lakes of
● Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve in
● Swiss Tectonic Areana Sardona in
● Socotra Archipelago in
With the new additions, the World Heritage List now includes 878 sites in 145 countries.
