Marshall & Ilsley (NYSE:MI) to Release Q2 2008 Earnings July 16

Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (M&I) is a diversified financial services company. M&I principal assets are the stock of its bank and non-bank subsidiaries, which, as of February 15, 2008, consisted of five bank and trust subsidiaries.

On November 1, 2007, the Company separated the Banking and Data Services businesses into two separate public companies: new Marshall & Ilsley Corporation and Metavante Technologies, Inc. (formerly, Metavante Corporation).

The company known as Marshall & Ilsley Corporation prior to November 1, 2007, became a wholly owned subsidiary of new Marshall & Ilsley Corporation and was named M&I LLC.
