National Penn Bancshares Inc (NASDAQ:NPBC) to Release Q2 2008 Earnings July 16

National Penn Bancshares, Inc (NASDAQ:NPBC) will release the second quarter earnings for 2008 on Wednesday, July 16 at 9:00 am ET.  The earning swill be released in a webcast later at 1:00 pm ET that afternoon.  The results will be presented by President and CEO Glen E. Moyer, Senior Executive Vice President and COO Scott V. Fainor, and CFO Michael R. Reinhard.  The webcast will be available on the company’s website at nationalpennbanchsares.com.

National Penn Bancshares, Inc. (National Penn) is a bank holding company providing a range of financial services, principally through its national bank subsidiary, National Penn Bank (NPB), including its KNBT Division acquired through a merger with KNBT Bancorp, Inc. (KNBT).

The Company also conducts business through its wholly owned subsidiary, Christiana Bank & Trust Company (Christiana), and various other direct or indirect subsidiaries engaged in activities related to the business of banking.

As of December 31, 2007, prior to the KNBT and Christiana acquisitions, the Company operated 75 community banking offices throughout nine counties in southeastern Pennsylvania, six community offices in Centre County, Pennsylvania, and one community office in Cecil County, Maryland. On February 1, 2008, the Company completed its merger with KNBT. KNBT’s banking subsidiary, Keystone Nazareth Bank & Trust Company, was merged into National Penn Bank, effective February 2, 2008.
