Two children of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. are suing their brother alleging that he took money from their father’s estate “for his own benefit.” Bernice King and Martin Luther King III filed the lawsuit and named Dexter King and their father’s estate as defendants.
The suit was filed Thursday in Fulton County Superior court and says Dexter King controls and “makes all decisions” concerning the estate. The brother and sister also claim Dexter wrongfully took money from their mother Coretta Scott King saying he “converted substantial funds” for his “own use.”
Bernice and Martin Luther are shareholders in the estate.
