Tony Snow, Former White House Press Secretary, Dies at 53

Former White House press secretary and FOX News television host Tony Snow died on Saturday after a long bout with cancer. He was 53.

Snow had worked as a FOX News and radio host from 1996 to 2006 before moving on to become President George Bush’s press secretary. He stayed in the position for 17 months and his departure raised eyebrows when he stated it was due to financial reason.

In 2005 Snow had his colon removed and underwent six months of chemotherapy but in 2007 he announced the cancer had returned and spread to his liver.

Snow leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Jill Ellen Walker, their son, Robbie; and daughters, Kendall and Kristi.
