Second Man Charged in Murders of Two French Students

Police have charged a second man, 23-year-old Daniel Sonnex, in the brutal murder of two French students in south-east London.

The bodies of Gabriel Ferez, 23, and Laurent Bonomo, 23, were found on June 29 in New Cross. Both men had been stabbed multiple times and their bodies set afire. The murders set off a massive search by police.

Nigel Farmer, 33, was eventually charged with the murders along with arson and attempting to pervert the course of justice. Sonnex became the second man charged in the deaths and is facing charges of murder and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Sonnex is scheduled to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates court on Monday.
