One Dead, One Critically Injured in Washington D.C. Open-Topped Double-Decker Bus
One man was killed and another critically injured after they stood up while riding on an open-topped upper deck portion of a bus Friday night in Washington D.C.
The bus was traveling on the Southeast Freeway carrying passengers to a Washington Nationals baseball game when the accident occurred.
According to police the men stood up just before the bus passed beneath the 11th Street overpass and their heads struck the concrete structure.
