Washington Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth Suffers from Muscle Condition

Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth reportedly has been diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis.

The report comes just one day after Haynesworth accused Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan of downplaying his medical condition after the team’s preseason loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

The condition, which sidelined Haynesworth in practice last week, causes the rapid breakdown of skeletal muscle due to injury to muscle tissue.

The team was unaware of Haynesworth's condition, according to ESPN.

According to reports, the condition is seen with people who are not used to working out in the heat. This description fits Haynesworth as he has been renowned for skipping a mandatory minicamp and failing his conditioning test during training camp several times before being allowed to practice.

Haynesworth stopped practicing early Tuesday at training camp and did not practice Wednesday or Thursday. During three weeks of camp, Haynesworth completed only five of 13 full practices.
