Team USA Basketball Team Edges Past Spain in Exhibition Game, 86-85

Kevin Durant had a double-double and a key block on a buzzer-beater three-point attempt to help the U.S. basketball team squeeze past Spain, 86-85, on Sunday.

Durant scored 25 points and 10 rebounds, but his biggest effort was blocking shots by Ricky Rubio and Rudy Fernandez in the game's final seconds.

Juan Carlos Navarro scored 20 points in the first game between the teams since Team USA won the 2008 Olympic final. It was the first loss in nine games for Spain, the defending world champion. The world basketball championships begin Saturday in Turkey.

Derrick Rose finished with 13 points, and Lamar Odom had 12 points and nine rebounds for the United States, who are 3-0 on its exhibition tour.

Marc Gasol had 17 points for Spain.
