Shares of CommVault Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CVLT) soared 8.71% to $22.60 on the news that Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) has offered to acquire 3PAR Inc. (NYSE:PAR) for $24 per share, 33.33% higher than the bid price offered by Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL)   earlier.

CommVault sells data storage technology for use in corporate data centers.

Analyst, Patrick Walravens at JMP Securities stated in a note to clients that the bidding war for 3Par has positive implications for CommVault, with the valuation of the deal implying a 116% premium for the stock in an acquisition scenario.

Shares of Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) are trading up by 2.10% to $0.993 on heavy volume.

Over the past 1 month, the stock has been moving within a very narrow range of $0.96-$1.02. However, the recent price movements suggest that the stock has a strong support at $0.95, which was last trading price in June 2010.

On the higher side, the stock has not been able to cross $1.02, which could be its short term strong resistance.

But it looks like the uptrend momentum could be intact and we could possible see some buying activities once it crosses $1.05-$1.05.

After opening 1% higher, shares of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) lost momentum and now down 0.64% at $248.04. today’s analysts at Kaufman made a renewed speculation that it expects an addition of a new carrier in the U.S. is very likely in 2011, considering competitive stand against Android phones.

The firm has a price target of $ $350 with a Buy rating on the stock.

The stock has a strong support of $246 and resistance of $265.
