Williams College Named Top Liberal Arts College in 2011 US News and World Report

Williams College is ranked the nation’s top liberal arts college in the 2011 U.S. News and World Report College Rankings, which were released late last week.

Williams beat out rivals Amherst College and Swarthmore College to earn the top spot once again. Last year, these three schools were also the top three on the list.

Middlebury College and Wellesley College were tied at fourth to round out the top five for the second year in a row. Bowdoin College, Pomona College, Carleton College, Davidson College and Haverford College complete the top ten.

The United States Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy were both ranked in the top 20.
