Body of Nancy Cooper Identified, Search Warrant for Vehicles and House

The body of missing North Carolina mother of two Nancy Cooper was positively identified late Tuesday night and now investigators have secured a search warrant for the vehicles and house she shared with her husband, Brad Cooper.

Nancy Cooper had reportedly left her home early Saturday morning for a routine jog but never returned. After several hours a friend notified authorities that she was missing and a search was launched.

On Monday evening a man walking his dog came across a body and by late Tuesday police confirmed that it was in fact that of Nancy Cooper.

Police initially ruled the death “suspicious” but have since called Cooper’s death a homicide. No cause of death has been released.

Brad Cooper has been cooperating with authorities.
