At least 37 Dead in Northern Egypt after Train Collides with Several Vehicles

At least 37 people were killed and 40 more injured after a train collided with several vehicles that had been pushed onto to the tracks by a truck that failed to stop at a crossing in northern Egypt.

According to officials in Marsa Matruh several cars had stopped at a crossing as the train approach but the truck slammed into the vehicles and pushed them in the way of the train. After colliding, several carriages from the train overturned and slammed atop the cars with two carriages knocked off the rails after the impact.

Several people were believed to be trapped inside the carriages.
