Famous Smoke Shop debuts La Floridita Fuerte cigars

In stock just barely over a month and already the word is spreading on these new cigars. Marketed by Famous Smoke Shop, the nation's leading online discount retailer of premium cigars and accessories, La Floridita Fuerte is the third line extension in their exclusive, affordably-priced series of La Floridita cigars.

Following in the wake of their bestselling La Floridita bundles, and La Floridita Limited Edition cigars, La Floridita Fuerte is presented in three sizes: Churchill (7 x 50), Toro (6 x 50), and Robusto (5 x 50). Manufactured by Nestor Plasencia in Honduras, the Fuerte line uses a medium to full-bodied blend of Nicaraguan Esteli and Jalapa Habano, plus Honduran Jamastran Habano longfillers, a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder, and a dark, oily Habano Viso wrapper leaf.

When asked  how the La Floridita Fuerte cigars were developed, Famous Smoke Shop General Manager, Hal Odzic said, "On one of my trips to Honduras last year I smoked some good cigars with Nestor Jr, [Nestor Andres Plasencia] and asked him to select some of the best tobacco he had in inventory and the best wrapper, but I wanted something new. So he had Maximo and one of his other top blenders roll some cigars for me to smoke. They were fantastic. Full of rich flavor, complex, and well-balanced."

The biggest challenge for Famous was how to make a cigar with such high-grade tobacco at an affordable price.

"'I need a good price to pass along to our customers' I told Nestor," said Odzic. "Incredibly, by carefully selecting the most prime Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco for the filler and binder, and adding a very flavorful and aromatic Habano Viso wrapper, voila!, out came La Floridita Fuerte. And the topper was, we could do it all at a very fair price starting at under $75 a box."

In a recent video cigar review of the La Floridita Fuerte Toro on NiceTightAsh.com, the reviewers note that the cigar maintains a "nice sweetness, real earthy with a bit of coffee flavor in there, and well balanced. Not too strong, not too light, really nice."

"When the first boxes of La Floridita Fuerte arrived and we all got to smoke the finished product, it was pretty unanimous that this cigar could create quite a buzz," said Odzic. "Now it's up to the consumer, but I've got a pretty good feeling about it."
