Viverae, a leading provider of health management solutions, has been named to the 2010 Inc. 500, ranking 316 and being recognized among the nation’s fastest growing companies for the second year in a row.
In 2009, Inc. Magazine ranked Viverae as 775 on the Inc. 5000 list. With continued growth in 2010, Viverae was named among the Inc. 500 list.
Inc. recognized Viverae’s 949%-percent revenue growth from 2006 to 2009. With this growth percentage, Dallas-based Viverae ranked 61 out of the top 100 companies in the health industry nationwide and ranked 10 out of the top 100 fastest-growing private companies based in the state of Texas. Viverae creates health management programs that help organizations reduce health care costs through improved employee health.
“Viverae has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years due to our ability to evolve with the ever-changing health care industry,” said Michael Nadeau, president and chief executive officer of Viverae, who founded the company in 2003. “To be recognized again on a national level by Inc. makes our growing momentum within the marketplace all the more meaningful. We remain focused and diligent on effectively serving our growing client base, and expanding our solution suite and technology platform functionality, as we continue to help shape the emerging health management industry.”
In addition to revenue, Viverae has also seen growth of its employee base. The Viverae team grew by 54 percent from 2009 to 2010, and has plans to bring on additional team members this year to meet the increased corporate demand for comprehensive health management solutions.
“Viverae’s vision is to help redefine corporate wellness for any size organization,” Nadeau continued. “This is a great environment for us today as more companies are looking for a solution to control rising health care costs and to improve a generally unhealthy workforce.”
“Viverae’s hands-on programs are a unique combination of health assessments, targeted outreach, creative challenge activities and meaningful incentives that are aligned with each client’s culture and health profile.”
The 2010 Inc. 500 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2006 to 2009. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by June 30, 2006. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of December 31, 2009. The minimum revenue required for 2006 is $80,000; the minimum revenue for 2009 is $2 million.
"Fast growth at any time is a big achievement; fast growth during the past few years is just short of miraculous," said Inc. editor Jane Berentson. "The Inc. 500 consists of these just-short-of-miraculous companies, the ones that through ingenuity and ambition have increased revenue, hired employees, and grown fast in difficult economic times."
