PETA Uses Controversial Ad to Promote Pet Population Control

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has released its latest advertisement encouraging people to spay and neuter their pets and the video has sparked some controversy due to the manner in which the message was relayed.

The video featured a mother and father having a talk about sex with their daughter. The young girl gets a look of disgust on her face when the topic is brought up but becomes more horrified as her mother and father encourage her to “get out there and nail everything you can.”

A shocked daughter asks “what if I get pregnant?” at which her father shrugs the issue aside and tells her they can drop the kids at a shelter or drop them in the street.

At the end of the ad PETA declares “Parents Shouldn’t Act This Way” and then follows with ‘Neither Should People With Dogs And Cats……Always Spay or Neuter.”
