Search for Missing Florida Girl Focuses on Backyard of Grandparents

Detectives in Orlando have focused their search for two-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony on the backyard of her grandparent’s Florida home, one month after the young girl disappeared.

While Caylee disappeared one month ago she was only reported missing by her mother, Casey Anthony, on Wednesday. According to the 22-year-old mother she dropped Caylee off at a babysitter and when she returned for her daughter she was gone. She offered no reason for why it took her a month to report Caylee’s disappearance.

Casey Anthony was taken into custody by police following her report on Wednesday and it was recently made known that she had borrowed a shovel from a neighbor about the same time her daughter actually went missing.

Now detectives have focused on the maternal grandparents house, where Caylee and Casey lived. Cadaver dogs were brought to the yard and several items had been removed from the house. Police reported that the grandparents have been "extremely cooperative.”
