Palestinian Man Killed after Using Construction Vehicle to Slam Into Several Cars and Bus in Jerusalem

A Palestinian man was shot and killed after he used a construction vehicle to slam into several cars and a bus in downtown Jerusalem on Tuesday.

The attack took place just hours before presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama was to check in to a luxury hotel in the Israeli city.

According to police the driver of the construction vehicle rammed the back of the bus at least twice before turning his attention to cars that were stopped at a red light. A civilian driver noticed what was happening and exited his car and shot the driver of the construction vehicle.

Police were still searching for two suspects who were seen fleeing the scene. Early reports have indicated the attacker was from east Jerusalem, an area that is comprised of more than 200,000 Muslims.
