Blue of Noon Talks to Rebecca Firth at YourFindit About Their Music in Audio Interview

Aram Richard, Matt Foster and Mark Burke of Blue of Noon spoke with Rebecca Firth of YourFindit in an audio interview.  Blue of Noon, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is an alternative, rock and metal band.  They describe their style of music as “Bipolar Rock” listing their influences ranging from heavy metal bands to Bjork and Portishead.  In their audio interview the band talk about the evolution of their music and the effort put into its creation.

Formed in a basement seven years ago and named after a Georges Batailles novel, Blue of Noon (BON) has come a long way.  With the recent release of their debut album, Atrophy, and the privilege of performing with well known and respected bands, BON is very hopeful about the band’s future.  Having performed with the likes of Type O Negative, Orgy, VAST, The Cruxshadows, Wednesday 13th, Celldweller, Professional Murder Music, Birthday Massacre, The Last Dance, CelticFrost and Andrew WK, the band is thankful for the opportunities they have had.

When it comes to favorites, BON loves to play at the 10 High and The Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia.  They say they are treated well, the shows are good and the crowds are always great.  Their favorite band to play with was VAST, although Orgy was mentioned for being incredibly supportive of the band. 

On average, BON has about two shows a month.  They’ve been known to travel out of state on occasion, but do not do it too often due to scheduling constraints.  The number of monthly gigs is limited.  They explain that they need the time to develop their music and would rather not sacrifice it for a few extra shows.

Blue of Noon will be playing at the North River Tavern in Sandy Springs, Georgia on August 8.  Doors open at 9:00 pm and the event is free.
