Teacher Heather Kennedy Arrested Again for Sex with Same Student

Heather Kennedy, the former Long Island teacher who was arrested for having sex with a student, is still doing so with the student, according to reports on Tuesday.

According to Newsday, Kennedy, a former teacher at Wantagh High School in L.I., was arrested in March for having sex with a 16-year old student, but will now face five new statutory rape charges after it was found out that she was maintaining the sexual relationship.

Kennedy, 25, was arrested again late Monday for still seeing the male student, apparently having sex with him five times since she pleaded guilty last month. Last month, Kennedy pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct and was awaiting an August sentencing. She faced up to a year in jail.

Kennedy pleaded not guilty to five counts of felony third-degree rape, two counts of felony third-degree criminal sexual act, five counts of criminal contempt and one count of endangering the welfare of a minor. She faces up to four years in prison on each rape charge, authorities said.
