Car Bombs Detonated Outside TV Studio, Police Station in Mexico

Mexican TV station Televisa reports a car bomb was detonated outside their studio in Ciudad Victoria, the capital of Tamaulipas state, Friday just after midnight. Around the same time another car bomb exploded outside a police station. There were no injuries or deaths reported in either attack. Both buildings were damaged.

The attacks come 3 days after the Mexican Navy discovered the bodies of 72 migrants at a ranch just north of Ciudad Victoria, about 14 miles from San Fernando. The bodies of 58 men and 14 women were found above ground in a structure on the ranch. Authorities have asked diplomats from El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador and Brazil to help identify the bodies. A criminal gang is believed to be responsible for the massacre.
