John Edwards and Mistress Rielle Hunter Reportedly Spotted Together

Sen. John Edwards (D-NC), the former Democratic presidential candidate, was reportedly spotted with his mistress, Rielle Hunter, on Monday.

The National Enquirer reported that Edwards was seen with Hunter at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on Monday night.

Edwards attended a press event Monday afternoon with Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa on the topic of how to fight homelessness. Hunter had apparently driven to Los Angeles from Santa Barbara with a male friend to meet with Edwards.

After months of investigation by the Enquirer, it was reported that Hunter and Edwards had secretly planned to meet after the mayor's event in order for Edwards to spend time with Hunter and their love child, whom Edwards has denied publicly.

The Enquirer broke the scandal of Edwards' love child last year while Hunter was still pregnant and Edwards was still a strong candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.

According to the Enquirer, Edwards was confronted at the Beverly Hilton on Monday and was bombarded with question from Enquirer reporters. "After we confronted him about seeing Rielle, Edwards looked like a deer caught in headlights," said Enquirer Senior Reporter Alexander Hitchen.
