Heavy Rains Cause Landslides in Turkey, 12 Dead

Heavy rains in northern Turkey caused landslides Thursday. At least 12 people have died and one other person is missing after landslides in the town of Gundogdu, located in the Black Sea province of Rize, buried homes, buildings and vehicles.

Rescue workers have pulled dozens of people out of damaged homes. At least seven people with injuries were rescued. Several roads were shut down. No other details were available.
