ACO Pros to Match Up in Monster Energy World Cornhole Championship

Fountain Square Cincinnati, Ohio is the place for ACO Professional Cornhole action on August 27 and 28.

The weekend of August 27 and 28 the ACO Cornhole Pros will be in Cincinnati, Ohio for the 2010 Monster Energy World Cornhole Championship.

Get ready for the battle of the sexes and family feud as the top professional cornhole players head to Fountain Square for the 2010 Monster Energy World Cornhole Championship. Sixteen of the top ACO Pro players have claimed their spot in the 20 player tournament. Four players will need to battle thru a qualification tournament held at Turfway Park, Florence, KY, on Friday August 27 to earn the right to play on Saturday.

Each year the competition gets tougher and 2010 is no exception. Sherri Eggleton, Indianapolis, IN made history this year when she became the first female to qualify in this Fountain Square event. Sherri made it clear to step aside boys.

Matt Guy, Alexandria, KY, the reigning King of Cornhole, comes to town with his son. Bret Guy is just a pitch away from causing family trouble. Matt and Bret are seeded 1 and 2 in the tournament. Is it time for Dad to take a seat?

Jack Stagge, Lynchburg, Ohio, has a special love for the Monster Energy World Cornhole Championship. Last year he made history by outpitching Steve Vanderver, Norwood, OH, #2 seed and Matt Guy #1 seed to claim the Championship crown. Jack has no intention of giving up the crown.

Shane Andrews, Nouth Carolina, Mike Schaffer Sr, Ohio, Dale Smith, Kentucky, Kevin Pinkerton, Ohio, Jason Schwab, South Carolina, David Shoemaker, Ohio, Matthew Strzala, Ohio, Danny Blanks, South Carolina, Sean Short, Ohio, and Kevin Warner, Indiana, have all come to Cincinnati, with one goal in mind. None of these players want to leave the Queen City without the crown.

Stop by Turfway Park Friday August 27 6:30 PM meet the Cornhole Pros and watch them battle for the 4 remaining spots. Come to the Square on Saturday August 28 and join the fun. There will be plenty of food, drinks, and live music to enjoy as you watch the Pros pitch. Admission is FREE.

For the first time ever the ACO will attempt a live internet feed to all of its Cornhole crazy fans around the country. They will have a pitch by pitch action experience. “Our plan is to beta test Live Streaming online video so we may share the experience with our fans who are not able to make it to Cincinnati for this awesome event,” said Matt Gray ACO Director of Media.
