Power of Herbal Arts to Be Unleashed During Herb Day Event
Even though herbs have been a tradition since ancient times, herbs are still “fresh” and relevant in modern living. But have you ever wondered what secret power these plants hold? And how can someone reap the benefits?
On October 9th, 2010, Herb Day, a series of national public outreach and educational events, will inform the public on the many ways herbs can be used safely and creatively for health, beauty care and wellness. Local Herb Day activities will take place on at Wellness Works, 1209 Lakeside Drive, Brandon from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In its four-year history, Herb Day has found that greater familiarity with herbs increases informed use of herbal products and builds public support for the use of botanicals.
The event will be hosted by Carol Roberts, MD of Wellness Works; Rose Kalajian, herbalist of the Natural Health Hut, and Kalajian’s apprentices.

About Herb Day:
Herb Day is a coordinated series of independently produced public educational events celebrating the importance of herbs and herbalism.
Herb Day was conceived of by five nonprofit organizations (the Herb Day Coalition) with interests in herbs and herbalism to raise public awareness about the significance of herbs in our lives and the many ways herbs can be used safely and creatively for health, beauty care, and culinary enjoyment.
Greater familiarity with herbs will increase informed use of herbal products and build public support for maintaining personal choice in the use of botanicals.
