Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, has filed a lawsuit against Duke University's golf team on Thursday.
Giuliani was kicked off the team after new head coach Daniel "OD" Vincent downsized the team, leaving Giuliani off of the roster. Giuliani was recruited by former Duke coach Rod Myers, who died last year. He was replaced by Vincent, who came from UCLA.
Giuliani stated that Vincent stirred up a series of allegations to force him out and turn his classmates against him.
Vincent suspended Giuliani for such minor infractions as driving too fast out of a parking lot, breaking a driving wood and getting into a confrontation with a teammate. Vincent then told Giuliani his suspension could be lifted if all 12 of his teammates would lobby for him.
On Feb. 11, Vincent officially announced that Giuliani would not be on the team, according to the lawsuit.
