Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) to Hold Q3 2008 Earnings August 1
Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) will hold a conference call to discuss the third quarter earnings for 2008 on Friday, August 1 at 9:00 am ET. A webcast of the presentation will be made available on the company’s website at oshkoshcorporation.com.
Oshkosh Corp., formerly Oshkosh Truck Corporation, is a designer, manufacturer and marketer of a range of specialty vehicles and vehicle bodies.
The Company operates in four segments: access equipment, defense, fire & emergency, and commercial. As a manufacturer of severe-duty, heavy- and medium-payload tactical trucks for the United States Department of Defense (DoD), the Company manufactures vehicles that perform a variety of tasks, such as hauling tanks, missile systems, ammunition, fuel and cargo for combat units.
The Company entered the firefighting apparatus market through the acquisition of Pierce Manufacturing Inc. (Pierce), which is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of firefighting vehicles. The Company subsequently expanded into additional emergency response and geographic markets to form its fire & emergency segment.
In December 2006, the Company completed the acquisition of JLG Industries, Inc. (JLG).
