A 6 month investigation in to a male prostitution ring in Spain led to the arrest of 14 people, National Police revealed Tuesday. Ringleaders recruited their victims from Brazil with lies about work and money. They purchased the men’s airline tickets with stolen credit cards.
Once the men were in Spain, they were sent to brothels across the country and forced to become prostitutes. The men were given cocaine, Viagra and poppers to enhance their performance. Customers were also provided with drugs, including cocaine and marijuana. If the men resisted or complained, the ring threatened them.
Of the 14 arrests, eight occurred in Palma de Mallorca, three in Leon, one in Madrid, one in Barcelona and one in Alicante. They have been charged with crimes against the rights of foreign nationals, crimes against the rights of workers, conspiracy and distributing drugs.
