Turkish Ship Sinks Off the Coast of Romania

A Turkish ship sank in the Black Sea off the coast of Romania Wednesday. The Medy, carrying 17 crew members and loaded with metal, reported problems several hours after leaving the Romanian port of Constanta.

Romainian ships attempted to keep the Medy afloat, but failed. All 17 crew members were rescued. It is unclear what caused the ship to sink.

Earlier this month, a South Korean fishing boat sank near New Zealand. Six people died. Rescuers were able to save 45 crew members.
