Lenny Dykstra, Former Phillies Star, Sells Estate for $24.9 Million on Sotheby's

Lenny Dykstra, the former Philadelphia Phillies star, placed his mansion on the market for $24 million on Friday.

Dykstra's house, which was owned and built by Wayne Gretzky, is located in the Brentwood, California, just miles from Los Angeles. The estate is referred to as "The Crown Castle" or the "The Crown Jewel of Lake Sherwood".

The home, which has now been listed by Sotheby's International, is 12,713 square feet, has 8 bedrooms, 7 baths and sits on 7 acres. The compound has a fitness facility, championship tennis court, home theater, library, four fireplaces and two guest apartments.

Dykstra has become a savvy investor and businessman since retiring from Major League Baseball. He writes a column "Nails in the Numbers" for Street.com and has set up an investment fund for former players called "The Players' Club".
