Explosions in Istanbul Kills at least 13

At least 13 people have been killed and more than 70 injured after two bombs exploded in the Gungoren district of Istanbul on Sunday.

While initial reports indicated the explosions may have been due to a gas leak, the governor maintains they were carried out by terrorists.

The first explosion took place in a telephone booth and the second followed in the same area a short time later as a crowd of people gathered around the area of the initial blast.
