New Drug Rehabilitation Center Says Where There Is CARE, There Is Help
When C.A.R.E. broke new ground by offering holistic or non-medical alternatives for helping and combating compulsion, eating disorders, and drug addiction, they were considered pioneers within their industry. Currently offering such programs as alternative medicine, massage therapy, acupuncture, and yoga; C.A.R.E. FLORIDA provided solutions on the road to recovery that could help an addict achieve their ultimate goal: helping themselves.
However, C.A.R.E (Comprehensive Addiction Recovery Education) FLORIDA also understood that, “some will never receive the treatment that they desperately need because of financial restraints.” When 30 days of treatment leaves an addict or benefactor with fees in excess of $45,000 - $50,000, it becomes painfully clear the cost of addiction. Even with insurance, most companies tend to pay out for only initial detoxification and limited treatment stay. This is the reason why C.A.R.E. created the not for profit program, C.A.R.E.S. HELPS (Comprehensive Addiction Recovery Education Scholarship) which would effectively provide partial funding for treatment, housing, counseling and alternative medicine to deserving individuals and their families.
As a venue to fuel their drug rehab scholarships, C.A.R.E. created the website: www.helpanaddict.org. Help an Addict offers the community at large a chance to donate money for the sake of “helping to end addictive disorders one person at a time.” C.A.R.E. promises to match all donations dollar for dollar and absorb all administrative costs—a guarantee that the donations provided will go to the addict in need and not used to overhead expenses at the drug rehabilitation center.
The reasoning behind C.A.R.E.S HELP (www.helpanaddict.org) is because far too many of us have loved ones who are recovering from addiction, or are ourselves recovering. As the C.A.R.E. family says, “We have seen the battle first hand.” And as our nation’s compulsion, eating disorders, and drug addictions continue to go unrestricted, it is a battle that continues today. Is it possible to help an addict? The C.A.R.E. family thinks so.
If addiction is a wild and windy night, then recovery is a long and winding road. The unfavorable and deadly risk that comes with addiction without means for recovery is progressive and devastating. Addiction is a disease. And much like a disease, without proper treatment and recovery the disease returns or becomes worse. Perhaps this is why programs such as C.A.R.E.S.
